The duo were to get married in June 2011 but Crystal called off the wedding few days to the wedding selling the $55,000 engagement ring only for them to reconcile again few months ago.
There's a 60 year age difference between them which doesn't bother Mr Hefner. He tweeted 'The dramatic age difference between Crystal & me really doesn't matter. Whatever time I have left, we want to spend together.'
The bride, who is now going by Crystal Hefner on Twitter, posted photos earlier in the evening of the wedding set-up, including a close-up of the flowers lining the altar inside. (Hef later tweeted a pic of the newlyweds.)
Kathy Griffin couldn't wait to usher out 2012 with Anderson Cooper "Today is the day I become Mrs. Hugh Hefner. Feeling very happy, lucky, and blessed," she wrote.
