Kidnappers called us ‘bad market’ - Koreans

The four Koreans (pictured above) and a Nigerian kidnapped in Bayelsa State by eight gunmen said on Saturday that their assailants fed them with noodles, tea and banana while in captivity.

The victims, who were released on Friday night after spending five days in the kidnappers’ den located in a mangrove, said the captors set them free after branding them “bad market.”

Jong Ken, Hi Kim, Doo Lee, Joon Chae and a Nigerian, Austin Giwa, who are employees of the Hyundai Fabrication Company at Okpoama, Brass Local Government Area, were whisked away by gunmen who raided the firm on December 17.

“It was amazing out there, but that’s where I decided it couldn’t go on. He was talking about having to fly here and there and I was going back to my office job.
“So when I got home I rang him and told him it wasn’t going to work. I said the distance thing and not seeing him often enough was a problem for me.
“He was very upset and said ‘Don’t do it, what can I do?’. I told him, ‘There is nothing you can do... you are who you are’.
“I am just a normal girl and I know people say, ‘You would have been fine with it’, but I wouldn’t. If I was a celebrity then our relationship probably would have lasted longer.”
Junior athlete Megan caught the eye of the 100m world record holder when she was chosen to model Jamaica’s team kit for the Games and appeared on a catwalk with him.

A fresh attack has occurred at a beer garden in Badawa quarters in Kano some 24-hours after two suicide bombers died in attacks against two telecom offices in the city.
Today's explosion erupted from IEDs packed in a cartoon near the area. Police sources said there are no known casualty from the attack.

Jacob Zuma being paid in his own coin as he battles deputy

"What goes around comes around" so goes the saying. The President of South-Africa Jacob Zuma may be having a strong contender on his way towards retaining the leadership of his party Africa National Congress (ANC) in the person of his person Kgalema Motlanthe, his present deputy as Monthlante has indicated his interest in contending for the leadership position of the party. He had accepted nomination from some provinces to contend the leadership position.

Motlanthe a very reserved man unlike Zuma is also accepting nomination for the deputy president position so that he can be able to retain his office as the Deputy- President. Monthlante had once risked his political career to support Zuma when the later was thrown out of office on the grounds of corruption. Clinching the leadership of Mandela's anti-apartheid party is synonymous with winning the President of the Southern African Country which is the most likely in 2014 National elections. Zuma had challenged and defeated his own boss Thambo Mbeki when the later was the president.
