ABACHA'S SON MAY BE JAILED AGAIN

The evil that men does lives after them so goes Williams Shakespeare's quote. Abba Abacha, son of the late of the late Nigeria Military Head of state, Late Gen. Sani Abacha who died in power may be sentenced to prison again.
This is due to his absence at his retrial by a swiss high court again last Wednesday. He had earlier been sentenced in absentia to the two year suspended prison term and also his assets confiscated for misappropriation and stealing of public funds when his father was the head of Nigeria government

But he won an appeal at the Swiss Federal Tribunal citing procedural irregularities after which the court ordered the sentence annulled and retrial.
This time around he had stated his inability to appear to be due to head injuries and whiplash he sustained during a recent a road traffic accident.

“People think that a liar gains a victory over his victim. What I’ve learned is that a lie is an act of self-abdication, because one surrenders one’s reality to the person to whom one lies, making that person one’s master, condemning oneself from then on to faking the sort of reality that person’s view requires to be faked…The man who lies to the world, is the world’s slave from then on…There are no white lies, there is only the blackest of destruction, and a white lie is the blackest of all.”                                                                                                                                                                       Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged
