Helicopter Crashes In Bayelsa State, Azazi, Yakowa Confirmed Dead

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has said its rescue team has been able to locate the scene of the helicopter crash in the Nembe area of Bayelsa with all the six passengers in the plane dead.

According to NEMA Spokesman, Mr. Yushua Shuaib, who spoke to THISDAY, the search team has recovered all the bodies of the victims on board the ill-fated helicopter.

He said the dead bodies, which included that of the Governor of Kaduna State, Mr. Patrick Yakowa and the immediate-past National Security Adviser, Andrew Azazi have been taken to the hospital.

It is not an uncommon scene at various higher institutions across the country. Not even as some secondary schools are not spared out.

Final year students who have just concluded their final papers are celebrated (in their own way) as they return from the examination hall. Information gathered from some institutions is that majority now put on clothes that will not be painful to forget. Lots of individuals may condemn it but as for me I see it as celebration their own way!

RIHANNA'S LETTER TO THE NAVY

After nabbing her first #1 album with Unapologetic and embarking on her unprecedented 777 tour, Rihanna wrote to the Navy, recalling their journey together through her career.

Nelson Mandela's undergoes surgery to remove gall stone!

Nelson Mandela, South Africa's first black president and anti-apartheid icon, is recovering from a successful gallstone removal procedure, according to a government spokesman.
"The former president underwent a procedure via endoscopy to have gallstones removed. The procedure was successful and Madiba is recovering," President Jacob Zuma's office said in a statement on Saturday, using Mandela's clan name.
The 94-year-old Nobel Peace laureate was hospitalised in a Pretoria hospital with a lung infection last week after being flown from his home village of Qunu in a remote, rural part of the Eastern Cape province.
Tests revealed a recurrence of a lung infection and that he had developed gallstones, the government statement said.
Mandela spent time in a Johannesburg hospital in 2011 with a respiratory condition, and again in February this year because of abdominal pains. He was released the following day after a keyhole examination revealed there was nothing serious.
He has since spent most of his time in Qunu.
His fragile health prevents him from making any public appearances, although he has continued to receive high-profile domestic and international visitors, including former US President Bill Clinton in July.
Mandela was elected in historic all-race elections in 1994 after decades of struggle against apartheid. He spent 27 years in apartheid prisons, including 18 years on the Robben Island off the coast of Cape Town.
He stepped down in 1999 after one term in office and withdrawn from public life for the last decade.

A Man wearing Mitt Romney mask had on thursday robbed a bank in Virginia.
This man wielding a gun collected money from one teller to the other in the banking hall. Funnily the same bank location was robbed by a someone wearing Hillary Clinton mask at December two years ago.
Police had however checked at a local store behind the bank to check if anyone had bought a mask there same day.

Two Nigerians arrested for hacking into the mail of Ghana Armed Forces

Two middle aged Nigerians Peter Okechukwu, 32 and Emmanuel Ifedi, 31 years respectively have been apprehend by Security service of Ghana for alledged hacking into the mail of the nation's armed forces
The two had hacked into the email e-mails of Continental African Trading Limited (CATAL) and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) GHANBATT 76 intercepted all electronic communications between the two parties replying the on behalf of each.
The two suspects using the identity of CATAL sent an email to the military instructing them to pay the sum of $13,978 into a United Bank for Africa account number 01011651102235 as part payment for the supply of the goods.
It was when the later didn't get information on payment for goods and a phone call initiated that it was discovered that their mails have been hacked.
The police was contacted and a surveillance at the bank premises led to the arrest of Okechukwu who later took them to Ifedi. Okechukwu said the mater-minder was Ifedi and he only made his account available. I just wonders why Nigerians persist in activities that continues to portray the image of the country negatively.

How Okonjo-Iweala’s mother was released…N10m ransom paid

Information recently gathered was that between ten to fifteen million was paid as ransom to the abductors of Madam Okwonjo Iweala, Professor Kamene Okonjo. The entire process of negotiation was carried out by the son, Prince Onyema Okonjo, who spoke various times with the kidnappers on phone between Sunday, December 9, when she was abducted till she was released on Friday morning. The Nigerian police although carried along all through were not able to trace their location through phone calls. However a boy suspected to have been used as a sacrificial lamb by the abductors to lead her to safety has been arrested. She has however been taken to Abuja via a chartered flight. Madam Okwonjo has however expressed gratitude to the governor of Delta state for his support. An obviously helpless President Jonathan was however very happy about the development.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s Mother Released

The special advicer on media to the Nigeria's minister of Finance, Mr Nwabuikwu had in a press statement released said that the 82 years old mother of the Madam Okwonjo Iweala's Mum Prof. Kamene Okonjo had been released this morning.

The exert of the statement according to Premium times reads:

I can confirm that Professor Mrs Kamene Okonjo, wife of the Obi of Ogwashi-Uku, Professor Chukuka Okonjo and mother of the Coordinating Minister for the Economy/Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was released this morning, five days after her abduction.
The Okonjo Family is full of thanks to the Almighty for this happy development. The family is also highly appreciative of the support and encouragement of President Goodluck Jonathan; the Country’s security services for their excellent operations; Governors Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta, Peter Obi of Anambra, Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers and other Governors as well other friends and well wishers within and outside government for their prayers and encouragement during a very difficult period. May God bless you all,”

Even though various sum of money have been requested for by the abductors at various points in time, the media aide however fail to mention if anything was paid or not.
